Shenandoah Telecommunications Closes on Cable Acquisition

EDINBURG, Va., Dec. 1, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Shenandoah Telecommunications Company (Shentel) (Nasdaq:SHEN) announced today that it has completed the closing of the transaction announced on October 6, 2010 to purchase the cable systems serving the communities of Salem, West Virginia and Oakland, Maryland from Suddenlink Communications. The systems have approximately 7,000 homes passed. Waller Capital Partners, LLC acted as Shentel's exclusive advisor.
